Italian energy company Eni and Malaysia's state-owned Petronas have formally established Searah, a joint venture combining 19 gas and development assets across Malaysia and Indonesia. The venture plans to invest more than US$20 billion to strengthen regional energy supply and support long-term energy security across Southeast Asia.
