The International Monetary Fund praised Argentina's economic stabilization efforts after first-quarter GDP grew 2.3%, inflation slowed to 2.1% in May and the central bank reached its US$10 billion reserve accumulation target six months ahead of schedule, while projecting year-end inflation of 25%.
