Energy authorities from Argentina and Brazil have signed a bilateral technical agreement establishing the regulatory and tariff protocols required to export surplus natural gas from Vaca Muerta to the industrial centers of southern and southeastern Brazil. The framework utilizes existing Bolivian pipeline networks with reversed flow architecture alongside future connections to the northern Argentine network, allowing Brazil to bypass expensive liquefied natural gas imports in favor of cheaper regional piped supplies.
