Energy authorities from Argentina and Brazil have signed a bilateral technical agreement establishing legal, regulatory, and tariff protocols to export surplus natural gas from Vaca Muerta into the industrial heartland of southern and southeastern Brazil. The transit framework utilizes existing Bolivian pipeline networks with reversed flow architecture alongside future connections via the northern Argentine gas network, bypassing expensive overseas liquefied natural gas imports with cheaper regional piped supplies.
