YPF and Partners Secure $2.5 Billion Financing for Vaca Muerta Sur Pipeline and Export Terminal
State-controlled energy major YPF and a consortium of shale producers have closed the debt and equity structure for the Vaca Muerca Sur oil pipeline, a project connecting the Neuquén Basin to a maritime terminal in Río Negro. The investment, the largest under the new RIGI investment regime, is expected to expand export capacity by more than 300,000 barrels per day and remove a primary logistical bottleneck for Argentine unconventional oil.
