Argentina's Vaca Muerta Shale Boosts Energy Independence
Oil output surges 26% year-on-year, positioning Argentina as a potential LNG exporter
Argentina's Vaca Muerta shale formation has propelled the nation closer to energy self-sufficiency, with oil production rising 26% year-on-year to over 447,000 barrels per day in March.
Dry gas output also increased by 16%, reaching 2.1 billion cubic feet per day.
Analysts attribute this growth to enhanced drilling activities and infrastructure developments, positioning Argentina as a prospective key player in the global liquefied natural gas market.
