Leicester Tigers scrum-half Jack van Poortvliet has been added to the British & Irish Lions squad as cover for Jamison Gibson-Park, who is nursing a minor gluteal injury.

Van Poortvliet joins the team in Dublin ahead of their opening match against Argentina, bringing his experience from 18 international caps and recent performances in the Gallagher Premiership to bolster the Lions' options at scrum-half.
